    RENO (Nov. 20) – Carson Raceway is the newest indoor karting track in the region. Jamy Keshmiri owns this track as well as the area’s Ben’s Fine Wines and Spirits stores.   • NNKC WELCOMES FALL WITH A RACE

    STEAD (Sept. 23) – NNKC, the Northern Nevada Kart Club, welcomed fall with the next to last race of the season. Mild weather set the stage for the action at Desert Park Raceway.     STEAD (Aug.7) – Desert Park Raceway echoed with the sounds of racing Sunday as the Northern Nevada Kart Club held a make up race for one that was rained out. While there no shifter karts were on hand, those that competed put on a good show and there were two surprise winners.       STEAD (July 23) – Desert Park Raceway was alive this Sunday as the Northern Kart Club held its latest points. Although attendance was down a bit those present put on some good races and there was even a special race between two different shifter karts.     Despite the heat there was a pretty good go kart race on Sunday. STEAD (JULY 2) – Desert Park Raceway was alive with go kart racing just one week after the Northern Nevada Kart Club hosted the KPX series. Due to the heat and 4th of July weekend the kart count was down but those racing for points and fun still showed up.     STEAD (JUNE 25) – Desert Park Raceway was visited this weekend by the KPX series. And hosting the third round of this year’s series was the Northern Nevada Kart Club. Unlike last year’s visit only the groups in the series raced but that brought around 106 drivers to the track. Another difference between last and this year is that it didn’t rain but was hot.     The Northern Nevada Kart Club (NNKC) was in action this weekend. STEAD (May 21) – Desert Park Raceway echoed to the sounds of racing Go Karts this weekend. It was the third round of this year’s season for NNKC and 33 drivers showed up for the first event in summer like conditions.     As the weather improves more tracks and series are starting and here’s the latest one. STEAD (April 2) – Desert Park Raceway echoed with the sounds of racing this weekend as the Northern Nevada Kart Club started its 2017 season. Despite the threat of possible rain the weather was great. Just in case the club sped up the schedule so everyone was finished with their racing by early afternoon.     RENO (Dec. 3) – Northern Nevada Kart Club (NNKC) held its annual awards banquet at the Grand Sierra Hotel and Spa this weekend. Awards, including special recognition, finishes and a very special one were handed out as well as a raffle for prizes. President Brian Rivera started things off with some comments about the state of the club and his hopes for the future.       Season in review is when we can look back at this past year and honor those that have raced as well as the champions. First recap is for the Northern Nevada Kart Club and their successful season. Stock Moto 125 is the fastest class the club has.     STEAD (OCT. 16) – Desert Park Raceway closed out its racing season as the Northern Nevada Kart Club hosted the final round of the KPX Karting Championship series.
