RENO (Sept. 13) – Racing Preview this week highlights the major event in our area plus regional events both here and in Northern California. Also included is TV and what is streaming on the Internet are also covered. Here in this area the biggest event are the annual National Championship Air Races, the only event on the planet where pilots go head-to-head and race each other around a marked course. RENO (Sept 6) – Racing preview for this week is a varied menu even though the season her and else where is winding down. There are live events as well as much to view on TV and the Internet. The weekend kicks off at the Battle Mountain Raceway as the track hosts its annual Silver Kart Classic Friday and Saturday. This is probably the biggest Outlaw Kart show in Northern Nevada and drivers from California, Oregon, Nevada and Idaho are expected. RENO, NV (Aug. 30) – Racing preview for this week has a mixed menu. In this region most of the oval tracks are dark although there is a big off road race. Over in TV and Internet land there are some major events to watch or stream. The major race in our area is the Fallon 250 desert race out at Salt Wells, about 35 miles or so east of Fallon. This year there is a new title sponsor for the event P.C.I Race Radios. As usual Saturday is a two-stage event with the production classes starting at 6 a.m.

RENO, NV (Aug. 23) – This week we have another national event visiting our area plus regional racing. Over in TV World there are several events but some series are off before the big Labor Day weekend. The major event will be at Wild West Motorsports Park, located off I-80 east of Sparks. It’s the return of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series with two days of action on this fast, yet hilly course. Gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday as the off road stars work both for good finishes, if not wins and gaining more points since

RENO (Aug. 16) – Made a mistake when I first posted this so have now corrected it. Still want to get this out a bit early as this Racing Preview has a lot of things to cover. Locally it’s going to be a varied, huge weekend for race fans and some will have to choose what they will watch or participate in. Friday is a huge day for many local motorcycle desert racers as the annual Best In The Desert Vegas to Reno race begins early in the morning and ends in Dayton, I believe around the Q& D pit

RENO (Aug. 9) – Another busy week for race fans and in fact fans of classic cars as its Hot August Nights here in the Reno/Sparks area. And of course there is plenty on TV to watch as well. To the east Rattlesnake Raceway, just outside of downtown Fallon has a full show featuring cars as well as Outlaw Karts with a 6 p.m. start to the evening show. North of Reno, the Diamond Mountain Raceway in Susanville, California will also have racing that same night.

RENO (Aug. 2) – Racing preview for this weekend has a couple of special events in our area and one of them leads into a fun week here in the Reno/Sparks area. RENO (July 26) – Racing preview has another busy weekend with a major event coming to our area this weekend. Over in California there will be two motocross events as well as others nationally and internationally Fernley 95A Speedway has the biggest local event this weekend as the Sprint Car Challenge is coming Saturday with festivities, including a bike give away for the kids. The gates open at 2 p.m. with cars in the track around 5 p.m. so it will be the place for sprint car fans On that same night Rattlesnake Raceway will also be in action. The

RENO (July, 19) – Racing Preview this week not only has regional events but a couple of special ones happening close to our area and to the east. Over on TV Land and on the Internet there is a classic race as well as others to be watched. This weekend begins with a pair of two-day shows with the first being American Valley Speedway’s in Quincy, California. On Friday, starting at 7 p.m. the cars will race with a $1,000 to win for the IMCA Modifieds then at that same time Saturday the cars will race again. To the east

RENO (July 13) – Racing Preview for this weekend is another buffet of varied treats for racing fans. This not only includes events in our region but some in California as well as those on TV and streamed across the Internet. Oval track fans have two events to choose from on Saturday. To the east Rattlesnake Raceway, starting at 6 p.m. has the cars and Outlaw Karts, that start early in the afternoon. Down in Feather River country the Nevada Pro Stock Association visits American Valley Speedway in Quincy, California. As usual things get going at 7 p.m. down there.

RENO (July 5) – Now that the 4th of July is over racing is ramping up again as there are local and regional events this weekend. And the TV has a varied schedule as does the Internet. Locally three area tracks will be in action Saturday night. To the east Lovelock Speedway hosts another points race starting at 7 p.m. and about that same time to the north in Susanville, California there are more races at Diamond Mountain Speedway. Rattlesnake Raceway will host a special event this weekend as it’s an all Mad Metal show, probably beginning at 6 p.m.

Well here we go, another long holiday weekend. RENO (June 29) – This week’s Racing Preview has one more day added to it due to the July 4th holiday, which is on Tuesday. Still, the schedule is full of live, televised or streamed events during most of the weekend. Locally Lovelock Speedway is hosting another of its points races Saturday starting at 7 p.m. Then on Sunday the Northern Nevada Kart Club hosts its next race at Desert Park Raceway and the action should get going around 9 a.m. For local motocross fans there is big news from over the

RENO (June 7) – This week’s racing preview begins with a special event to help a local racer. It also includes a bunch of events in our area as well as what’s on TV and streamed over the Internet.
