  • RATTLESNAKE – FULL MOON RACING

Rattlesnake hosts a night of cautions and carnage under an almost full moon.   FERNLEY (May 30) – There is a long-standing superstition about racing under a full moon. Although it wasn’t a full moon Saturday, it might as well have been. And the fans at Rattlesnake Raceway, well they got a night full of action. After the 2nd annual Hobby Stock challenge ended winner Tony Taylor said, “It was a rough race, had a time as a wire kept falling off the distributor so had to go off but made it up going from the front to the back.

RATTLESNAKE – GOETZ TOPS IMCA AS TRACK HONORS ARMED FORCES DAY. FALLON (May 16) – Rattlesnake Raceway’s latest round featured hard racing, kid’s rides and the track paid tribute to both active military and veterans on Armed Forces Day. In fact the night began with an Armed Forces Day salute where all the cars and Outlaw Karts were on the front straight. • DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

FALLON (Oct. 4/5) — Rattlesnake Raceway ended its season with the annual Dirt Track Championships. However this year there was an unforeseen twist; rain canceled the scheduled date so the event was moved to the next weekend.   Sadly many cars that planned to be there weren’t. Despite this the event went on as planned and the drivers put on a display of hard racing. “I had to avoid a lot of stuff as the track went from real good to a real slick, slick, slick track,” Carl Barlow said after winning Saturday’s Hobby Stock main. “The car was real

  • MARNN AT TOULAN + WEEK’S PREVIEW

TOULON (Sept. 28) — Rain this weekend canceled one event but another soldiered on and ran its event. Due to the conditions at the track and in the pits Rattlesnake Raceway postponed its annual Dirt Track Championship, a two-day event that brings the track’s season to a close. Yet only about 60 miles away MRANN and District 36 ran their annual combined event, The Wild Horse and Wild Pony Enduro. Unlike those racing on ovals, desert racers will compete in just about any type of weather. Saturday’s rain, plus the cool weather made perfect conditions on Sunday as there was
