RENO, NV (July 1) — Here we are looking at the 4th of July weekend. There are car meets, motorcycle rides and racing galore, not to mention what is on TV.
CAR MEETS:

• Thursday gets rolling at Kim’s Donut & Tea House. Meet up starts around 8 a.m. and the location is 1328 U.S. Highway 395 North in Gardnerville.
• There are two cruises on Thursday:

- Thursday Night Cruise, from 5 until 7, starts at the Wing Stop on South Carson Street.

- Like ice cream on a hot day, they join the Thursday Cruznite to Chilcoot Frosty & Goodwins General Store. Times are 4 until 7 p.m. and take 395 north to highway 70 where you turn left, go over the hill and it’s by the turnoff to Frenchman’s Lake.
• Friday is be busy with cars and bikes:

- Starting at noon All Points Bar and Grill in Fernley will host its 2nd annual Car Show. Location is 790 E. Main Street in Fernley.

- Reno Bike Community has another Friday night cruise as people meet starting around 6 with 7 p.m. kickstands up. Meeting at the Maverik station on the corner of Sutro and North McCarran.

- Not far away Old Slammers will meet at the Northtowne parking. People start gathering around 6:30 then the cruise will leave around 7ish.

- Down south Carson Cars & Coffee has Friday Night Dutch. Starts at 6:30 and the location is 1231 South Carson Street.
• Saturday, the 4th of July, is a busy day as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country

- Things get going at 9 a.m. when American Legion Post 30 has a Show & Shine. Location is 730 4th Street in Sparks, right next to the post office,

- To the east the Fernley Klazzic Kruizers are hosting a Show N’ Shine. Registration begins at 8 a.m. by the Wigwam at 225 Main Street. They will cruise to the Out of Town Park on the east side of town where the fireworks happen.

- Here in Reno there is a 4th of July parade. Meeting is across from the G&S on 4th street starting at 9 and the parade has a 10 a.m. start time.

- In Mina Nevada there is the 2026 Mina Poker Run for SXS machines. There will be music and fireworks on Friday but the run begins at 9 a.m. Saturday with a 5 p.m. ending.

- At 11 a.m. there will be a Freedom Ride Poker Run starting at the Marine House at 1000 Bible Way in Reno.

- To the east, starting at 10 a.m. Fallon will have it’s 4th of July parade followed by events at Oats Park. There are usually some cars from Rattlesnake Raceway and Top Gun Dragstrip in the parade.

- Fallon Cars & Coffee is having a meet to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. Starts at 11 a.m. and the location is the Walmart Parking Lot.

- Carson Cars & Coffee will have its Saturday Night Dutch meet. Starts at 6:30 p.m. and the location is the Dutch Bros Coffee Stand at 1231 South Carson Street.
• Sunday has five events:

- Reno Jeeps & Coffee meets at 10 a.m. Sunday. Location is the Human Bean Coffee Stand at 3915 S. McCarran on the corner with Longley Lane.

- Reno Cars & Coffee also meets at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Location is by the Human Bead Coffee Stand at the corner of Moana and Keitzke Lanes.

- Over at Baldini’s Casino, starting at 10 a.m. Northern Nevada Classics is hosting Brunch N’ Classis Cruise In. It’s in the west parking lot and location is 864 S. Rock Blvd. in Sparks.

- Starting at 1 p.m. Summit Racing Equipment in Sparks is hosting another Cruise In. Location is on East Glendale by the railroad tracks.

- Finally the day ends with the Modelo Sunday’s Cruise In & Kickback. Times are 5 until 9 p.m. and the location is 195 W. Plumb Lane in Reno.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• To the far north Cedarville Raceway is having two nights of racing featuring Hobby Stocks and Pro Stocks. The grandstands open a 4:30 with a 6 p.m. start to the racing.

• To the north in Susanville, the Diamond Mountain Speedway has two nights of racing. The classes also include the Sierra Nevada Sprint Cars. Fireworks on Friday and a concert after Saturday’s racing. The racing has at 3 p.m. start on both days

- Closer to Reno there are two afternoons and evenings of racing at Rattlesnake Raceway. The Go Karts start racing at 2 p.m. each night and there is a water balloon fight each night.

- The big track also has two nights of racing. On Friday racing begins at 7 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Saturday. The town’s fireworks show is at Rattlesnake and on Saturday that happens when it gets dark.
RACING & PRACTICE (MOTOCROSS):

• REP Racing has a reduced schedule. Riverfront has big bikes Thursday, then only minis on Friday. Saturday begins with a DCMX Ride day then from 5 until 10 p.m. it’s open practice and there will be open practice.
- PCMX has practice from 8 until 1 Saturday and Sunday but, sadly, the Sandbox MX in Fernley is still closed.

• MMX Racing is open Friday from 8 until 1 for the Main and Kid’s tracks. They are closed July 4th and on Sunday, from 8 until 2 p.m. there is practice on all four tracks.

• E-Street MX Park is closed on the 4th of July then on Sunday, from 8 until 1 p.m. has practice.
RACING (NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL):

• NASCAR is at Chicagoland Speedway and here is their TV schedule. Once again it’s behind Pay Walls but after the events one can see highlights on www.youtube.com.
• Thursday Fox Sports 2 at 2 p.m. has Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour followed 3 on Fox Sports 1 with Speed.
• Fox Sports 1 on Friday at 5 p.m. has ARCA Racing from Joliet.

• On Saturday the AMA Pro Motocross series is visiting Red Bud this weekend. Peacock at 7 a.m. has Race Day Live and at 10 a.m. the network airs the motos
- Apple TV at 7:25 a.m. has Formula 1 qualifying from Silverstone.

• Sunday begins at 5:50 a.m. when Apple TV has the British Grand Prix from the classic course at Silverstone.

- Then at 9:30 a.m. Fox has the Indy Car Race from Mid-Ohio. Later at 3 p.m. TNT has the NASCAR Cup event from Chicagoland Speedway.
