RENO, NV (Nov. 20) — Well it’s almost Thanksgiving weekend and racing is over in our region although there are still car meets and maybe a cruise. With stormy weather headed our way things could get iffy so it’s best to check first. CAR MEETS: • I’m told the Thursday meet with the Iron Mafia happens rain or shine. So at 8 a.m. they’ll meet at Kim’s Donut and Tea house at 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville. • The White House NV in Carson City still has the Friday and Saturday even cruises scheduled. RENO, NV (Nov. 13) — As a storm heads out way there is still one more racing event in our area but this one is indoors. There are also other races to go before several seasons end. CAR MEETS: • Again the Iron Mafia, starting at 8 a.m. Thursday gets the weekend rolling at Kim’s Donut and Tea House. RENO, NV (Nov. 6) — As the days are getting shorter racing is ending and on TV we’ll soon be in the Rerun Zone. However don’t dispair as there are plenty of car meets to visit and enjoy and still some racing to come. CAR MEETS: • Once again the Iron Mafia starts the weekend at 8 a.m. Thursday morning, Location is Kim’s Donut and Tea House at 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville. • Down in Carson City there is a cruise from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. RENO, NV (Oct. 30) — Well today is two things, Halloween and the actual Nevada Day. There are also a couple of more Trunk or Treat happenings as well as car meets. On TV two major series are heading into their final weeks before the champions are announced, CAR MEETS: • Once again the Iron Mafia gets the weekend rolling, or maybe splashing with an 8 a.m. start. RENO, NV (Oct. 16) — We’re getting our first blast of real fall weather this week. But the weekend will be mild and dry for racing as well as Show ‘N Shine events in our region NOTE: Several meets might be affected by the weather and/or temperature. RENO, NV (Oct. 9) — It’s a full weekend of car meets, an off-road race and motocross not to mention racing on TV. Best part, it’s another weekend of good weather for our region. CAR MEETS: • Things started Wednesday when Nevada Bronco started a 4-day festival at Mills Park in Carson City. There are displays, vendors and even some cruises.
