RENO, NV (Aug.21) — Well here we are, the final weekend of August. For some it means back to school, for others it’s almost the end of summer. No matter as the car meet buffet is over flowing and racing is in the air. CAR MEETS: • Thursday begins at 8 a.m. when the Iron Mafia has its weekly meet at Kim’s Donuts. RENO, NV (8-7) — This week is Hot August Nights, probably the largest car festival of the year. In addition there is racing both, live and on TV. CAR MEETS: • All this week Hot August Nights has events in Reno and Sparks. On Tuesday Summit Racing had a small show with many different types of cars and trucks.          -Not far away the Grand Sierra’s northwest parking lot was full of cars, vendors and a stage for nightly concerts.
