RENO, NV (July 10) — Despite summer’s heat wave car meets are hotter than ever. And there is some racing in our region, not to mention what is on TV. CAR MEETS: • As usual the Iron Mafia starts the weekend rolling at 8 a.m. with their meet at Kim’s Donuts. RENO, NV (July 3) — It’s a huge holiday weekend with racing, cruises, car meets and of course fireworks. It’s also going to be very hot to be careful out there. RENO, NV (June 26) — Summer is really here and the car meet scene has really heated up. This coming weekend is kind of a lull for several tracks as they prepare for the 4th of July. CAR MEETS: • Things get going at 8 a.m. Thursday in Gardnerville when the IRON Mafia hosts its weekly meet.
