RENO, NV (Sept. 7) — Another busy weekend for car, cruise and racing fans. Now that Labor Day is area tracks and professional series are getting ready to bring the curtain down on their seasons but there still is more to go.  CAR MEETS & CRUISES: • Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. is the 2nd Annual Genoa Customs & Classics Car Show in the downtown area. All Makes and Models are welcome and there are trophies, dash plaques and raffle prizes.  • That same day the Need 2 Speed is starting the first round of its Battle Racers

RENO, NV (AUG. 31) — Well September is here with the late summer heat. Car meets and cruise-ins are starting to end not to mention racing series are looking at the end of their seasons. It is a time of change.  CAR MEETS: • Joe Bob’s Chicken House in Sparks is having the Last Bash Car Show/Rock A Billy show Saturday. Starts at 4 p.m. and everyone is welcome.  • Also on Saturday is the Show for Awareness sponsored by the Impalas Car Club. RENO, NV (August 17) — Once again a mixed bag of events in Northern Nevada. Not to mention a bunch of on TV and the Internet.  CAR MEETS & CRUISES: • Thursday is another off day for cruising. Good time to shine the rig as things get going on Friday.  • Friday is a buffet of different events. Starting around 5 p.m. The next-to-the-last cruise in at Summit Racing will get going. RENO, NV (Aug. 10)— Now that Hot August Nights is over many cruises that took the week off are back as well as is racing in this region. There is also a bunch of racing nationally and internationally.  CAR MEETS: • On Friday Summit Racing, on East Glendale in Sparks is having another cruise in. RENO, NV (August 3) — This is the week many wait for all year as its Hot August Nights. This brings to Northwest Nevada a 10-day celebration of cars and all things related as well as a host of entertainment.  The streets as well as casino parking lots will be full of cars from years gone by. Not to mention nightly cruises along Virginia Street in downtown Reno as well as Sparks.  Over in Sparks, on the west parking lot of the Nugget there is a very short dragstrip. RENO, NV (July 27) — This weekend starts a 10-day buffet for car fans. There will be car meets, cruises and the kick off or Hot August Nights. In addition there is a bunch to see on TV.  CAR MEETS & CRUISES: • This week is the final Carson City Thursday Night Cruises. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at Bully’s on North Carson Street.  • Friday, starting around 5 p.m. is the next cruise-in at Summit Racing in Sparks.
