RENO, NV (Feb. 1) — On to another month and while there isn’t racing in our area right now that will change in a couple of weeks. There is also some live racing south of us as well as on TV and the Internet. CAR MEETS: • First weekend of the month means Reno Cars & Coffee meets from 10 a.m. until noon at the Keitzke Starbucks on Sunday. There is usually a pretty good mix of cars, trucks and sometimes a motorcycle or two will show up. PRACTICE & RACING (Motocross): • The AMA Arenacross series visits the Reno

RENO, NV (Jan. 25) — We’re about to head into February and this is actually a pretty big race weekend. Soon green flags will fly in our region however for now one needs to travel to see them live although TV and the Internet has a bunch. CAR MEETS: • Usually the fifth weekend of a month is a dead time but not so any more. The Fernley Car Meets will be happening every weekend on Friday and Saturday. RENO, NV (Jan. 11) — Once again weather is playing a big roll in what will happen this weekend. As a result this will be another short preview article. CAR MEETS: • Reno Cars & Coffee hit a milestone Sunday and Lance Freitas posted this. Good for them. They are supposed to have a meet Sunday starting at 10 a.m. and the location is the Human Bean Coffee stand by the intersection of Moana and Keitzke Lanes. RENO, NV (Jan.4) — Here we are in the New Year and racing is taking off again. More car meets plus racing on the Internet although TV is still mired in the Re-Run Zone. CAR MEETS: • Nevada Jeep Club gets Saturday afternoon rolling with their 2nd Annual Wine, Women & Jeeps function. Starts at 2 p.m. and the location is Whispering Vine Win at 85 Foothill Road in Reno. The women that arrive early are supposed to get a rose. • Sparks Cars & Coffee is scheduled to have a meet Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. by the Starbucks

RENO, NV (Dec. 28) — Well here it is folks, we’re ending one year and are starting the next year of racing and car meets. CAR MEETS: • Saturday is pretty empty but New Year’s Day has two car meets and a trail run. Best part is there should be a break in the weather. • Reno Cars & Coffee gets 2023 rolling starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. RENO, NV (Dec.21) — Finally it’s here, Christmas weekend. For race fans that means green flags will start flying next weekend even though we’re still in the Re-Run Zone. RENO, NV (Dec. 14) — As we head closer to the New Year there is still more in the Re-Run Zone to be seen but every week puts us closer to when the gates will drop and/or green flag waves. CAR MEETS: • Saturday is going to be a busy day for car fans, and some motorcycle riders. Things get going at Moto-Source located at 3180 Mill Street, just east of Terminal Way. Starting a 10 a.m. they are having a holiday open house. This full service shop has a show room that has about anything a rider could use
