RENO, NV (June 14) — Finally a summer weekend without any rain. There are car meets, oval track and motorcycle racing in our region as well as events on TV. CAR MEETS: • The Thursday Cruznite to the Chilcoot Frosty & Goodwins General Store helps get the weekend rolling. Will be great weather for this cruise. • On Friday, starting at 8 p.m., the EVO Club has an EVO Meet & Dyno Tune Set Up. RENO, NV (June 7) — Another full weekend of car meets, shows as well as oval track, go-kart and drag racing. Hopefully the weather won’t be too big of an issue. CAR MEETS: • The Grand Sierra Resort is hosting the American Truck Historical Society National Convention & Truck Show. Runs from Thursday June 8 through the 10th. • Thursday afternoon is when the Thursday Cruznight  for ice cream happens. RENO, NV (May 31) — Another overflowing buffet of car meets, shows, regional racing was well as top line national and international racing on TV. CAR & MOTORCYCLE MEETS: • Weekend gets rolling when Thursday Night Cruisers get going. Start time is 5:30 p.m. but sadly the women writing the article did not mention the gathering point however it will be in Carson City. • Friday is when Street Vibrations Spring Rally begins. Runs through the weekend. Great time for Harley, Indian and other bikers. • Sunday begins at 10 a.m. with three car meets. -The Iron Mafia is hosting

RENO, NV (May 24) — This is probably the biggest racing weekend of the year. In addition there is racing as well as car meets in our region. The buffet table is overflowing and Mother Nature is going to bless us with good weather. CAR MEETS: • The weekend gets rolling as the first of 10 Thursday Cruznites gets going. It’s easy to get to as one goes north on 395 then turns west on Highway 70. The location is the Chilcoot Frosty & Goodwins General Store. There will be trophies and a nice way to start this long weekend.

RENO, NV (MAY 17) — Going to be a very warm weekend, one full of car meets, a cruise to Lake Tahoe as well as two oval tracks in action and a motocross. Not to be outdone, there are several events on TV as well as a major cancellation. CAR MEETS: • The biggest meet in this area is Hot August Nights Spring Fever Revival. CAR MEETS: • 775 Offroad and Recovery is having a 4X4 Show N’ Shine at Fuji Park in Carson City on Saturday.
