RENO, NV (March 8) — More racing  and other things this weekend but incoming weather could be a factor. As usual there is more racing on TV and the Internet. Announcement: This Saturday we go into Daylight Savings Time. So be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour that evening, especially if you’re racing on Sunday. CAR MEET: • Weather permitting Sparks Cars & Coffee will meet starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Location is the Starbucks located just off Disc Drive at the south end of Spanish Springs. RENO, NV (March 1) — Well March has arrived kind of like a lion. Despite this week’s weather that will be two off-road races run this weekend and, maybe, a car meet. However what happens this weekend will, in some cases, depend on what Ma Nature sends out way. CAR MEET: • Reno Cars Coffee gets the month rolling with a meet Sunday by the Kietzke Starbucks. As usual it starts at 10 a.m. no matter what the weather is. One good thing is that hot chocolate is close by. RACING & PRACTICE: (MOTORCYCLES): • Saturday and Sunday is when

RENO, NV (Feb.22) — This weekend we take a short pause from local racing. So it’s a is a good time to preview the upcoming oval track season and events over the hill. There is also an announcement about a venue change for the upcoming Loretta Lynn Regional Qualifying races. CAR MEETS: • Only one car meet on tap this weekend and that’s when Sparks has its next one on Sunday. Start time is 10 a.m. and the location is the Starbucks on Disc Drive. • While not exactly car meets two tracks are having functions this weekend. – After

RENO, NV (Feb. 15) — This weekend we have a Jeep trail ride, a car meet and two major series racing on TV. In addition there is an off-road motorcycle race this weekend. CAR MEETS: • On Saturday the Nevada Jeep Club has the Eldorado Canyon Trail Run. Everyone gathers at the Squeeze in Carson City at 9 for breakfast then the group convoys out to Dayton. Bringing a sack lunch or snack is recommended. • Sunday is when Reno Cars & Coffee has its second meet of the month. The start time is 10 a.m. and the meeting place

RENO, NV (Feb 8) — Last couple of days for King of the Hammers plus, depending on the weather, a couple of car meet as well as racing on the Internet. CAR MEETS: • Saturday, from 4 until 7 p.m. the Nevada Car Coalition is having a meet to help promote car clubs and grow the group. Location is at Nova Tile & Stone located at 12835 Old Virginia Road, Reno. • Sunday, from 10 until noon, Sparks Cars & Coffee has its first meet of the month. RENO, NV (Feb. 1) — On to another month and while there isn’t racing in our area right now that will change in a couple of weeks. There is also some live racing south of us as well as on TV and the Internet. CAR MEETS: • First weekend of the month means Reno Cars & Coffee meets from 10 a.m. until noon at the Keitzke Starbucks on Sunday. There is usually a pretty good mix of cars, trucks and sometimes a motorcycle or two will show up. PRACTICE & RACING (Motocross): • The AMA Arenacross series visits the Reno

RENO, NV (Jan. 25) — We’re about to head into February and this is actually a pretty big race weekend. Soon green flags will fly in our region however for now one needs to travel to see them live although TV and the Internet has a bunch. CAR MEETS: • Usually the fifth weekend of a month is a dead time but not so any more. The Fernley Car Meets will be happening every weekend on Friday and Saturday. The times are 7:30 until 11 a.m. and location is the 76th station in Fernley. PRACTICE & RACING (MOTORCYCLES): • •
