QUINCY, CALIFORNIA (July 16) — American Valley Speedway staged the next round of its 2022 season Saturday. It was a good night full of a hard racing and a lot of action on the track. That action began right at the start of the Mini Stock main. Right at the green Lilly Montgomery and Victor Torres tangled. Both had to pit for flat tires. On the second start Matt Canada and Suzi Schmitt were up front. A few laps later both leaders tangled on the backstretch. Canada was able to keep going but Schmitt’s car had to be towed

NORTHERN NEVADA KART CLUB: ROUND 5

STEAD, NV (JULY 17) — A week after the KPX series visited Desert Park Raceway the Northern Nevada Kart Club hosted the next round of their 2022 season on the same track configuration. Due to the forecast hot weather, and that only two Kid Kart drivers their first heat was during qualifying for everyone. That way they ran their six-lap feature when the second heat was running for everyone else. On the green, from a standing start both boys were nose-to-tail for the first third of the race. KPX VISITS DESERT PARK RACEWAY

RENO, NV (July 10) — The first of two special races this season visited Desert Park Raceway this weekend. Hosting the event, KPX Karting Championship, was the Northern Nevada Kart Club as this is their home track. Sunday is a long day with a lot of track time. Starts off with practice then a heat race. RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY – JULY 4TH RACES

FALLON, NV (July 4) — Rattlesnake Raceway has traditional race on July 4th every year. It’s also the site of the town’s fireworks display and this time there were some special things added to the show. Once the heat races were done the Monster Truck ,Airborne Ranger gave a great show. SPARKS, NV (June 26) — Double-header this weekend as one group prepares for a big race in July. The other ended June with its second meet of the month. Sparks Cars & Coffee now meets by the Starbucks located on Disc drive. That’s off the Pyramid Highway where the shopping centers are over the hill. RENO, NV (June 19) — One regular meet and one for Father’s Day highlighted this Sunday. Nice weather set the stage for a wide collection of cars, trucks and some motorcycles. Things got rolling with Reno Cars & Coffee at the Human Bean Coffee Stand close to the corner of Keitzke and Moana Lane.. While there weren’t as many cars as usual, probably due to it being Father’s Day, there was still a varied selection of cars. It’s by the Silverland Hotel & Suites and usually has a great variety of cars. STEAD, NV (June 12) — The Northern Nevada Kart Club held the fourth round of its season at their track, Desert Park Raceway. To say it was breezy would be an understatement as many times the “breeze,” seemed more like a gale. Because of this the barriers on the front stretch were tied to the fence with wire.
