RENO, NV (June 1) — Another busy weekend for car and race fans. There is also a bunch of events on TV as well.  CAR MEETS: • The Carson City Thursday Night Cruise for this week starts at 5:30 by the Staybridge Hotel. Nice way to enjoy the lower gas prices down there and enjoy nice cruising weather.  • On Friday, starting around 4 p.m. is the Cruise-in at Summit Racing Parks. RENO, NV (May 15) — Memorial Day, probably the biggest racing weekend of the year. There is just about something for and car or race fan.  CAR MEETS:  • Things get rolling Friday, from 4 until 7 p.m., when Summit Racing has its Friday Night Cruise. Location is on East Glendale in Sparks.  • Saturday, from 9 until 3 p.m. is the Summer Salute Car Show at Rancho San Rafael. There is something for about everyone to choose from this coming weekend. CAR MEETS & CRUISES: • On Friday, starting around 5 p.m. at Summit Racing, located on East Glendale in Sparks, there will be another cruise-in.    • To the east the summer’s first Fernley Main Street Cruise begins around 6 p.m. and the Wigwam is the meeting place.
