RENO, NV (April 22) – Racing this week has some live events, more announcements, plus an early heads up. Also have the Simracing schedule for the weekend. CAR MEETS, CRUISES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: • Sunday morning the Shasta Outlaws 775 has a combination meet and cruise. Location is the 76 Station in Fernley and the meet goes from 10:00 to 11:10 a.m. when the cruise leaves. The destination is Walker Lake and the weather should be great. • On the down side Hot August Nights announced the annual Spring Fever Revival has been cancelled and rescheduled for 2021. • Registration for

RENO, NV (April 15) – Once again racing is in hiatus but there are still things to watch and the motocross crowd can get in practice sessions. CAR MEETS: + This week’s Reno Cars & Coffee meet has been canceled. Hopefully things will be opening up so the next time, on May 3rd, the meet can be held again. + There is a cruise planned for Sunday at the Spring Thaw Rally is going to be held. The gathering point is the Safeway in Donner Pass Road in Truckee at 9:30 a.m. People are asked not to congregate so remember

RENO, NV (April 8) – Racing Preview this weekend is going to be a bit empty due to the Easter holiday. However there was a special event Wednesday. Jake Ewing was turning 10 and his family wanted to do something special for him. He suffers from non-verbal autism so can’t speak but sure showed how excited he was. Lance Freitas, who heads Reno Cars & Coffee, saw his mother’s plea on Face Book and decided to do something about so organized a convoy that traveled from Reno to Dayton. They where joined by other Cars and Coffee groups, as well

RENO, NV (April 1) – Due to the current situation this week’s Racing Preview will be a bit short. Hopefully this might be over by May and green flags will wave again. CAR MEETS: • Since it’s the first weekend of the month Reno Cars and Coffee will have a meet, well sort of. It starts Sunday at 10 a.m. in the parking lot by the Kietzke Starbucks but this time everyone is asked to stay in their cars. At around 10:15 everyone heads out for a cruise into the Sierras. RENO, NV (March 25) – Once again Racing Preview is full of some things, cancellations, postponments and eRacing news. It’s a crazy time for all of us. CAR MEETS & THINGS: • There are two very different events happening this Saturday and remember that social distancing thing as well as being respectful to others. • Starting at 10 a.m. at Mills Park in Carson City is the 2nd Annual  775 Mustang meet and cruise. RENO, NV (March 18) – Racing preview over the next few weeks will be pretty strange. This virus has put a dark cloud over all types of racing and other things. CAR MEETS: • There are two meets slated for this weekend. When this article was posted I didn’t know their actual status so just be prepared. Sunday should start at the Dutch Brothers coffee around 9 a.m. hen Carson Cars and Coffee has it’s monthly meet. Hopefully the weather will be nice and the turn out will be good. RENO, NV (March 11) – Racing has returned to our region as well as a bunch of events to watch on TV. There are also practice sessions and the start of a series on the Norcal motocross tracks. CAR MEETS: • Reno Cars and Coffee has moved to a new location for this weekend’s meet. On Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. they will meet at Del Rio Pub and Grill located at 6148 Mae Anne Avenue. It’s always a great way to meet fellow car people. RACING (REGIONAL): • This weekend there is a combined MRANN and District 36 event
