RENO, NV (March 14) – This week’s Racing Preview highlights events in our area; a second round for an off road series plus a show and meet. Nationally one of the classic sports cars races happens in the east and another major series is in the west. We have a variety of things happening in Northwest Nevada. RENO (March7) – This week’s Racing Preview has some special events, a special announcement as well as what racing is going on in our region and in TV Land. First and foremost for anyone planning on going racing, to practice or watching events remember DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS SATURDAY EVENING. The Blue Ribbon Coalition is an umbrella group that works to keep access to public lands. On Saturday there is a fundraiser trail ride called Mild to Wild and to benefit this organization. Close to home Reno Coffee and Cars begins the month with another gathering at the Keitzke Starbucks on Sunday. The event begins at 10 a.m. and as usual it is asked that people don’t do burn outs or rev their engines too high so the welcome will continue. Once again racing has returned to the scene, which means spring is just around the corner. Locally the Reno Chapter of the Over The Hill Gang is hosting the return of the Sandbox Grand Prix. It’s held at the Fernley motocross track, runs both Saturday and Sunday and is for bragging rights only. RENO, NV (Feb. 14) – Racing Preview has good news this time around; racing has started! Yes it has, both locally as well as nationally. The first local event is actually pretty low key on Sunday when Reno Coffee and Cars has another get together by the Starbucks at 1610 Robb Drive. As usual it begins around 10 a.m. and they ask you not do donuts or peal out in the parking lot and please don’t rev your engines too much.
