FALLON, NV (OCT.6): Rattlesnake Raceway hosted the annual Dirt Track Championships and the Nevada Pro Stock Association ended its season Saturday. STEAD, NV (Oct. 7) – Desert Park Raceway was the scene of the season’s final race for the Northern Nevada Kart Club. While the morning started off cold things warmed up and set the stage for a good day of racing. Three of the races went right down to the wire. BATTLE BORN MX AT THE SANDBOX

FERNLEY, NV (Sept. 30) – Battle Born MX staged round three of its fall series at the Sandbox, or the Fernley/Wadsworth Motocross Track as its officially known. The host club was the Over The Hill Gang and there was a good turn out of riders for a wonderful day of racing. All told there were 363 entries although several riders rode in more than one race. FERNLEY, NV (Sept 29) – It was a September Finale at Fernley 95A Speedway this week. The final points race was also the season ending event as the two-day show was canceled. DESERT RACERS OF MRANN RETURN TO LOVELOCK

LOVELOCK, NV (Sept. 23) – After 14 years the desert racers of MRANN returned to Lovelock thanks to the Mason Valley Dirt Squirts. The club staged the second round of the fall series, the Fix A Flat 100, just outside this rural Nevada town. The big bikes competed over a loop that was somewhere between 46 and 50 miles long. There were rocks, sand and after the long dry summer, dust but fortunately there was also a breeze blowing. ENDUROCROSS VISITS LIVESTOCK EVENTS CENTER IN RENO

RENO, NV (Sept. 22) – The 2018 Endurocross series visited here this weekend and brought its version of motorized mayhem to the Livestock Events Center. It was a wild night for riders and fans. STEAD, NV (Sept 16) – The Stihl National Championship Air Races completed a week’s worth of qualifying and competition under wonderful weather Sunday. And it was a history-making event for at least two classes of racing planes. International Formula One has a history that dates back to the golden days of Air Racing. These are usually home built aircraft for the sole purpose of racing. Due to their size they usually race in the morning around a 3.1875 mile course. Especially for those trying to sew up the championships or those trying to improve their positions. This time around many of the regular IMCA Modifieds weren’t running as the Super Nationals were going on at Boone, Iowa. All IMCA tracks aren’t allowed to pay points until the Iowa event is over but next week they can.
