RENO, NV (Sept. 20) — As fall begins we’ll get a small blast of cooler air then things warm up again. Just in time for a big motorcycle rally, more car meets and regional racing for a summer farewell. CAR MEETS: • While not cars this week is the annual Street Vibrations Fall Rally. Starts Thuresday and goes through Sunday with events in Reno, Carson City and Virginia City. • Things get rolling Saturday when the Impalas Car Club hosts the 3rd Annual Show & Shine for Mental Health Awareness. Another full weekend of car meets, racing in this region as well in Northern California. And there is a bunch of races over in TV Land so the race/car fan buffet is over flowing once again. CAR MEETS: • Friday evening, from 4 until 8 p.m. is the season’s final Summit Racing Friday Night Cruise. RENO, NV (Sept. 6) — A busy weekend for car and race fans in our region and over the hill. In addition there is a bunch of racing on TV and a special event Monday evening. CAR MEETS: • The weekend begins early, at 9 a.m., in Genoa with the 3rd Annual Customs & Classics Car Show. There are trophies, dash plaques and raffle prizes plus live music.          – There is a Car Show Fund Raiser to benefit Top Gun Dragstrip in Fallon. On TV, the major series are beginning or about to begin the countdown to crowning series champions. RENO, NV (Aug.23) — Another jam-packed weekend with car shows, Show ‘N’ Shine events and a BBQ for Jeep fans. In addition there is racing in our region, over the hill and more on TV. RENO, NV(Aug.13) — Slightly delayed this week. Hot August Nights is behind us but there are more car meets, special shows as well as racing as we head toward the end of summer. CAR MEETS: •As it is the second Saturday of the month there is a Coffee & Chroms Cruise-in at Sprinkle Donuts.
