RENO, NV (August 2) — We’re in the middle of Hot August Nights, a festival of Cars and Rock N’ Roll. The streets are full of all types of cars most from the 1970’s an earlier, it’s a wonderful time to be or visit Reno and Sparks. RENO, NV (July 27) — The car event buffet table is starting to overflow as we head into Hot August Nights. There is also some racing as well. CAR MEETS: • On Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. Summit Racing has a cruise-in and it’s a great way to end the work-week. Location is on East Glendale in Sparks just past the railroad tracks. • Hot August Nights gets going this weekend. RENO, NV (July 20) — Another summer weekend ahead of us, one that has an oval track event plus a bunch of car events. CAR MEETS: • Saturday begins at 8 a.m. at Lampe Park in Gardnerville. It’s the 9th annual “Send a Scout to Camp Car Show,” and is part of the HAN Event Series. Awards will be handed out at 3 p.m. • Sunday has two events. ANNOUNCEMENT: Top Gun Drag Strip is still cleaning up after being covered with mud a couple of months ago. They also need to get a new well drilled and operating. To

CAR MEETS: • While this week’s is late I’ll include schedule for the Carson City Thursday Nite Cruisers. Only two more after this week. • Summit Racing, located on East Glendale in Sparks is having another Friday Night Cruise. Should be cooler and a good way to wind up the workweek. It starts around 5 p.m. • Saturday gets rolling when Fallon Cars “N” Coffee hosts another of its meets.

CAR MEETS: • Starting Thursday in the west parking lot of the Sparks Nugget is the13th annual Rockabilly Riot. There are a host of things happening at this event through Saturday. • Friday evening, starting at 6 p.m. is another Fernley Main Street Cruise. CAR MEETS: • As usual things begin with the Thursday Cruznite.
