RENO, NV (April 3) – Racing Preview this week shows how Mother Nature is still causing some delays in getting oval track racing going. However there is racing in our area and region not to mention on TV Land and the Internet. CAR MEETS: Since it’s the first weekend of the month that means Reno Cars and Coffee will have its meet Sunday, which should have good weather. Weekend’s Variety got rolling Saturday morning in front of the Veteran’s Guest House closest to the V.A. Medical Center. RENO, NV (March 27) – Racing Preview for this weekend has a lot going on in our region as well as nationally. Local racing is getting ready to roll if only Mother Nature would cooperate. CARS AND CRUISES: Northern Nevada Camaro Club gets the weekend rolling staring at 10 a.m. Saturday as they gather at Summit Racing located at 960 East Glendale in Sparks. Usually there is a cruise beginning around 11 a.m. The Street Kings Motorcycle Club of Nevada is hosting the 5th annual Rid for Soldiers to benefit the Veteran’s Guest House. RENO, NV (March 11) – This time the season preview is focused on oval tracks here in Northern Nevada plus one in California. Please note that the first part of every schedule is tentative as the weather has been so unpredictable this year so be sure to check with a track’s website before that weekend. If the Mother Nature doesn’t throw a spanner into the works Fernley 95A Speedway will get things rolling. They have an open practice slated starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. This is addition to a local car meet and other races nationally and internationally. Hopefully the weather will improve here in Northern Nevada CAR MEETS: It’s the first weekend of the month and that means Reno Cars and Cofee will be meeting Sunday at the Kietzke Starbucks. The meet runs from 10 a.m. until noon and is a great way to connect with car people. REGIONAL RACING: Although we’re getting close racing has a week to go before things get rolling in this area.
