RENO, NV (Jan.12) — Here we are, halfway through January and there is racing. Overseas the Dakar Rally is heading for it’s final day this weekend while here in the U.S. the Chili Bowl is working its way to the mains on Saturday.  In our immediate area we have a car meet while over the hill there is MX practice. RENO, NV (Dec. 29) — As we say good by to one year and welcome a New Year there are a few things happening. RENO, NV (Nov. 10) — It’s Veteran’s Day weekend and another professional series will crown its champions on Sunday. RENO, NV (Nov. 6) — First and foremost, remember we go off Daylight Savings Time Saturday night. RENO, NV (Oct. 27) — It’s Nevada Day weekend, also Halloween. In our region there will be several car shows, a parade as well as an oval track race plus more on TV to watch.  CAR MEETS: • On Saturday the Nevada Day parade begins at 10 a.m. in Carson City. There should be several car groups in the parade. RENO, NV (Oct 21) — Although things are winding down as winter approaches there are still car meets, a major race in our area  plus some drifting as well as races on TV and the Internet.  CAR MEETS: • Locally Sparks Cars & Coffee will have a meet on Sunday by Buffalo Wild Wings. Start time is 10 a.m. and of course that will depend on the weather.  • To the south Carson Malls Cars & Donuts is having its final event of 2021 Sunday.
